Manovikas English Medium School proudly inaugurated its 110kWp Grid-Connected Rooftop Solar PV Power Plant, a significant step towards sustainability and environmental responsibility! The event was graced by Mr. Stephen Fernandes, Chief Electrical Engineer, Government of Goa, along with Mr. Jose Manuel Noronha, Chairman of Manovikas Trust, and Mrs. Maya Lin Noronha, Director. In his inspiring address, Mr. Fernandes highlighted the urgent need for change, reminding us that we have just 35 years of fossil fuels left. He encouraged our students to be the wings of change—chasing good habits that lead to success, not just success itself. Grandparents are a family's greatest treasure, the founders of a loving legacy, the greatest storytellers, and the keepers of traditions. Grandparents are the family's strong foundation; through their special love and care, grandparents keep a family closely knit. Junior children celebrated Grandparents Day in a very special way. They danced and sang for them and gave them handmade photo frames as a token of love. Grandparents were given heart shaped cut-outs by the grandchildren to be pinned up. Grandparents were also excited to showcase their talents. The excitement in the air was palpable.

A field trip is a visit to an area, outside of the normal classroom, where children can try new things, have different experiences, and learn valuable life-skills. The students of P.P. INTER explored the fields of Sarzora and visited a rice mill where they witnessed how rice, the staple crop, is grown, harvested, processed and distributed. The visit was an enlightening experience for the toddlers.

We are excited to announce the successful kick-off of the inaugural Sarto Almeida Memorial - Under 14 Boys Football Tournament, held today, October 3, 2023. The event began with a distinguished Guard of Honour for our Chief Guest, Mr. Vijay Sardessai, Hon'ble MLA of Fatorda Constituency. We were honored to have our Founder Member, Mrs. Theresa Almeida, along with Chairperson Mr. Jose Manuel Noronha, Director Mrs. Mayalin Noronha, esteemed Principals, Trustees, and dedicated staff members in attendance. Looking ahead, the 2nd Edition of the tournament is scheduled to take place from October 3rd to 5th, 2024. This tournament celebrates the remarkable talent of young footballers and promotes sportsmanship and teamwork. A special assembly on Teachers Day was conducted by the students of P.P. INTER-C to acknowledge the hard work and dedication of teachers in our lives. It also marked the celebration of the birth anniversary of Dr. Sarvepalli Radhakrishnan who was the second President of India, a philosopher and a great teacher. Students expressed their love towards the teachers by singing lovely songs and dancing gracefully. The celebration ended with the giving of a token of appreciation to all the teachers.

The atmosphere was electric with joy and anticipation as students graduates, parents, and teachers gathered to celebrate the Graduation Day of Class XII at Manovikas English Medium School on 14th June 2024. The ceremony, held in the school’s beautifully decorated auditorium, was a memorable occasion filled with heartfelt speeches, awards, and emotional moments. The event commenced with the ceremonial grand marching of the graduates. The principal, Mrs. Maria Norman, delivered the welcome address, congratulating the students on their hard work and perseverance. “Today, we celebrate not only your academic achievements but also your growth and resilience. As you step into the next chapter of your lives, remember to carry forward the values and lessons learned here,” she said.

Fresher’s Day The eagerly awaited Fresher’s Day programme at Manovikas English Medium School took place on the 5th of July, 2024, in the New Hall, ISC Block. “Celestial Space,” was the theme for the event, it added a touch of the cosmic to the celebrations. The event was attended by new students, seniors, teachers, and the school administration, all eager to welcome the newcomers. The programme commenced with the traditional lighting of the lamp, symbolizing the dispelling of ignorance and the dawn of knowledge. This auspicious start was followed by a warm welcome speech by a student of Class 12, which set the tone for the rest of the event. For the cake-cutting ceremony, the Freshers, accompanied by their Class Teachers and the Principal, cut a beautifully decorated cake, marking the beginning of their academic journey in our ISC section.
