Manovikas English Medium School has been awarded the GIEN-Purple Inclusive Institution Excellence Award for promoting innovative teaching methodologies and inclusive education practices in Western India. The award was presented during the International Purple Fest in Panjim, an initiative of the Global Inclusive Education Network (GIEN) and Brotherhood Delhi, recognising institutions setting benchmarks in inclusion. A national jury comprising experts from the United Nations, UNESCO, UN Information Centre for India and Bhutan, Office of the Commissioner for Persons with Disability (Goa), and Tata Institute of Social Sciences (Mumbai) selected the winners. Ms. Gayle Gama, Teacher in-charge of the Life Skills Resource Room, and her team expressed pride in the achievement. Director Ms. Mayalin Noronha said, “This honour reinforces our belief that education must include and empower every learner.” The award celebrates Manovikas School’s commitment to inclusive and innovative education.
